Invisalign® Invisible Braces are a custom-made series of smooth plastic aligners. Following the creation of a 3-D image of your teeth, your unique treatment plan will be developed by your Invisalign® dentist, and Invisalign® will custom make a series of aligners that fit your teeth and will gradually shift them to where they should be. You will start a new stage of treatment by wearing a new aligner approximately every two weeks. Each aligner will be closer in shape to your realigned smile.
Are Invisalign® aligners a good alternative to braces for kids with crooked teeth?
Invisalign® offers many benefits over traditional braces, but are not alternative to braces specially in kids, because kids does not like to wear them since they have the option not to it is easy to forget about them or to lose them and that might delay the treatment .
Braces cost about the same. The smooth plastic aligners are virtually invisible. Because they are smooth, they do not irritate gum or cheek tissue like metal braces typically do. Invisalign® wearers do not have to give up any of their favorite foods because Invisalign® aligners are removed when the wearer eats. Being able to take out the plastic aligners also allows for typical dental care. Simply remove the aligner when it is time to eat and then brush and floss as usual.

Is Invisalign® used to correct overbite and other bite problems?
Your bite is how your top and bottom teeth line up with each other. Dentists call how your teeth contact each other occlusion. Misalignment of your bite, called malocclusion, can make your teeth and gums more prone to damage and irritation, and causes other pain. An Invisalign dentist can correct an overbite (upper teeth bite over the lower teeth), anterior crossrbite (lower teeth protrude past the upper teeth), open bite (some teeth cannot make contact with opposing teeth) and crossbite teeth to bite inside the lower teeth (misalignment of the jaw causing one or more upper). Invisalign® can be used to correct any of these problems with bite. Your Invisalign dentist can let you know if you are a candidate for Invisalign® for your bite issues.
Will I need to wear a retainer if I use Invisalign® to straighten my teeth?
May be. Only your Invisalign dentist can tell you if your beautiful new smile will require a retainer to prevent relapse. If you require a retainer the makers of Invisalign® also make Vivera retainers in the same smooth, comfortable style.
